This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and what rights and choices you have. By using the Site or submitting your information, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

This Policy applies to information collected through:
- Seller forms ("sell my business"), including the valuation estimator.
- Buyer forms ("buy a business"), including the non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and optional document upload.
- General inquiry forms for individuals who do not identify as a buyer or seller.
- Scheduling of orientations and appointments.
- General use of the Site.
This Policy does not apply to third-party sites or services linked from our Site, which are governed by their own policies.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Contact and identification information
- First and last name.
- Email address (required).
- Phone number.
- Company or business name.
- Municipality or location in Puerto Rico.
- Preferred language (Spanish or English).
3.2 Seller business information
When you use the seller funnel or estimator, we may collect:
- Industry or business sector.
- Business name.
- Annual revenue range.
- Years in operation.
- Employee count range.
- Assets range.
- Reason for selling.
- Selling timeline or urgency.
- Additional notes you choose to share.
- Confidentiality preference.
- Estimator responses and the estimated value range generated from them.
3.3 Buyer financial and profile information
When you use the buyer funnel, we may collect:
- Buyer type (individual, operator, investor, group, family office, etc.).
- Net worth range.
- Investment or budget range.
- Down payment range.
- Financing type or status.
- Industries and locations of interest.
- Tax-incentive-related status (e.g., Act 60 and related decrees).
- Acquisition timeline.
- Prior acquisition experience and professional background.
- Acceptance of the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and the timestamp of that acceptance.
- Documents you voluntarily upload (for example, proof of funds), including the file name and its metadata.
Some of this information may be considered sensitive financial information. We collect it solely to assess suitability and connect buyers with opportunities; see Section 5.
3.4 General inquiry information
- Company name.
- Municipality.
- Inquiry topic (and a description if you select "other").
- Source or referral.
- Additional notes.
3.5 Appointment and orientation information
- Selected date and time.
- Information generated by our scheduling provider (
Calendly), including event identifiers and appointment data.
3.6 Technical, usage, and attribution information
Collected automatically or via URL parameters:
- UTM parameters (source, medium, and campaign) and the referring page (referrer).
- Session identifier and the paths/pages visited within the funnel.
- Funnel progress events (current step, status, saved data that lets you resume where you left off).
- Email events (for example, delivery and open) recorded by our email provider.
3.7 Onboarding and document information
If you advance to an onboarding stage, we may process:
- Onboarding status.
- Uploaded documents and their metadata.
- Electronic signature information managed by a third-party provider (a third-party electronic signature provider).
4. How we collect information
- Directly from you, when you complete forms, upload documents, accept the NDA, or schedule an appointment.
- Automatically, through browser storage technologies (for example, sessionStorage) and URL parameters that allow us to save your progress and attribute the source of your visit.
- From third parties, such as our appointment scheduling provider and our email provider.
5. How we use information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your requests and provide the brokerage and advisory Services.
- Generate a directional estimated value range (not a formal valuation; see the Terms of Service).
- Assess buyer suitability and connect parties with relevant opportunities.
- Schedule, confirm, and follow up on orientations and appointments.
- Communicate with you by email, phone, or messaging.
- Allow you to resume an incomplete form (progress persistence).
- Improve the Site, measure campaign performance, and understand the source of visits.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Bases for processing
We process your information on the basis of: (i) your consent when you submit the forms; (ii) the performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures you request; (iii) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services; and (iv) compliance with applicable legal obligations.
7. Who we share information with
We share information, as needed, with:
- Transworld Business Advisors of Puerto Rico advisors and staff, including Luis A. Victoria and the office team.
- Service providers (data processors) acting on our behalf, including:
- Appointment scheduling: Calendly.
- Site hosting and database: Vercel (website hosting) and a managed PostgreSQL database provider.
- Transactional email delivery: Brevo.
- Electronic signature: a third-party electronic signature provider.
- Document storage: a cloud document storage provider.
- Web analytics: PostHog.
- The Transworld Business Advisors network, where relevant to connect opportunities, subject to confidentiality.
- Authorities or third parties when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Successors, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
Business information marked confidential and information exchanged under the NDA is shared only with potential buyers who have accepted the corresponding confidentiality obligations.
8. Cookies and tracking technologies
The Site uses browser storage (such as sessionStorage) to save your progress in the forms and source parameters (UTM and referrer) for attribution. We may use analytics to understand Site usage. You can control storage and cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect features such as saving your progress.
9. Data retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain the business relationship, and to comply with legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. The general retention period is up to seven (7) years after our last interaction with you, unless a longer period is required by law, unless the law requires or permits a different period. We then delete or anonymize the information.
10. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information (for example, encrypted transmission and restricted access). However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable Puerto Rico laws (including Act No. 111 of 2005, known as the Citizen Information on Data Banks Security Act) and federal laws.

Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.

12. Children's privacy
The Site and Services are directed to individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us so we can delete it.
13. Users outside Puerto Rico and additional rights
We operate from Puerto Rico (a United States territory). If you contact us from another jurisdiction, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. If laws such as the CCPA/CPRA (California) or the GDPR (European Union/EEA) apply to you, you may have additional rights; contact us at privacy@tworldpr.com for more information or to exercise them.

The Site may contain links to third-party sites or services (for example, Calendly). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their policies.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on the Site with a new "Last updated" date. Significant changes may be communicated through additional means. Continued use of the Site after posting constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
